• CJC-1295 without DAC: a synthetic analogue built on the first 29 amino acids of GHRH, with several amino-acid substitutions.
• Ipamorelin: Aib–His–D-2-Nal–D-Phe–Lys–NH2, a pentapeptide from a Novo Nordisk program, described in 1998.

What “No DAC” means

CJC-1295 exists in two versions. DAC, short for drug affinity complex, is a reactive chemical group that attaches the peptide permanently to albumin in the blood.

In two 2006 studies, the DAC version stayed in circulation for about a week, with an estimated half-life of 5.8 to 8.1 days. The version without DAC lacks that group. Anti-doping chemists treat the two as separate compounds.

This blend uses the version without DAC. A label or COA that says “with DAC” describes a different compound: CJC-1295 with DAC vs without.

Two receptors, two pathways

CJC-1295 is a GHRH analogue, so it acts on the GHRH receptor, the target of the natural hormone first sequenced in 1982.

Ipamorelin acts on a different receptor, the one the growth hormone-releasing peptides use. In 1999 its natural ligand was identified as ghrelin, a 28-amino-acid peptide from the stomach.

The 1998 paper used GHRH and GHRP antagonists to show that the pentapeptide works through the GHRP receptor, not the GHRH one. Pairing one of each is the logic of the blend; no study cited here tested this specific blend.

What has CJC-1295 been studied for?

Each component has its own literature:

• GHRH and its analogues: growth hormone and IGF-1 secretion.
• The pentapeptide: selective growth hormone release in rats and swine.
• Detection of GHRH analogues in anti-doping laboratories.

These are observations in laboratory models. They are not evidence about any use in people.

How is CJC-1295 supplied and stored?
